Child Life Services

Due to continued precautions around COVID-19, will be unable to accept any tangible, in-kind donations  (including homemade items, store-bought items, and items collected in the community) this holiday season.

Support our patients and families this holiday season by hosting a virtual toy drive. Instead of donating toys, raise funds to provide meaningful gifts to patients and fill urgent needs for families and the hospital. You’ll receive an online fundraising page, one-on-one guidance, and a number of helpful tools and resources. Register now, or reach out to events@chtrust.org with questions.

The Child Life Services Department works to guide, educate, and support children and families through healthcare experiences. The multidisciplinary Child Life Services team considers each child and family’s emotional, social, cognitive, developmental, and cultural needs when determining interventions to enhance coping and support psychosocial needs. Using modalities such as play, music, creative arts, and technology, the Child Life Services team strives to help patients and families adjust to and understand healthcare.
