Philosophy of Care

Inspired to become a doctor by “One Life”, an autobiography by Chris Barnard, who performed the world’s 1st human to human heart transplant, I trained at Groote Schuur Hospital, South Africa, where Barnard had worked. In Radiology we are members of a health care team: providing diagnoses, guiding further testing, helping determine optimal management and monitoring therapeutic response.

PROFESSIONAL HISTORY

Dr. Caroline Robson trained as a medical student and subsequently as a radiologist at the University of Cape Town, and Groote Schuur Hospital, South Africa before becoming a Pediatric Radiologist. Dr Robson moved to Boston in 1993. After a fellowship in Pediatric Neuroradiology she joined staff at Boston Children's Hospital in 1996. Dr Robson served as the Director of MRI before becoming Vice Chair in the Department of Radiology in 2007. She currently serves as Division Chief of Neuroradiology and Director of Head and Neck Imaging in the Department of Radiology. Dr Robson is past president of the American Society of Pediatric Neuroradiology (2011-2012) and the American Society of Head and Neck Radiology (2019-2020).
